Setting calculation parameters for the next trading day.

SmarTrading mechanical trading system is designed so that you can set all parameters necessary for trading signal calculations in "Settings and results" section.

That's how the table of calculation parameter settings looks like at the beginning of system use.

To set trading signal calculation parameters required for the next trading day when stock exchanges are open (further referred to as "trading day"), press "Change" button. After that, the settings table becomes accessible for changes.

When "Calculation parameter settings" table is accessible for changes, you can enter parameters to be used by SmarTrading trading system to calculate trading signals for the next trading day. Further on, all settings made will be saved by default. To change them, you will have to go to "Settings and results" section again, press "Change" button, and make changes required.

 Table Filling Rules

"Status" Field
This field has "InActive" value by default. Set "Active" value to order calculation of SmarTrading trading signals for the next trading day.

"SUM" Input Field
Enter into this field an amount (from 10000 to 75000) for which the mechanical trading system will select tickers, determine number of shares for each ticker, and calculate trading signals.

"Number of stocks in portfolio" Field
This field is used to set number of securities to be included into your portfolio. This number can be determined by the system ("Set by algorithm" option) or you can set this number independently (from 1 to 5).

" Opening Price is set by:" field
This field allows entering corrective amendments to opening prices (or current stock prices) for the day when you receive the system information.

Selecting "Manually" in "Opening Price is set by " field will add only one step to your working with the system, but trading results will be better.

If you select "Automatically", the final system signal corrections will be made with forecast opening prices, which can worsen your result slightly.
After filling in all the settings table fields, press "Set" button. The calculation parameters set by you will be saved for the next trading day. The mechanical trading system will use them to calculate trading signals.

Until 9:00 P.M. EST of the current day, "Calculation parameter settings" table is available for changes in parameters set by mechanical trading system for the next trading day. If you want to change any calculation parameters for the next day, access "Settings and results" section before 9:00 P.M. EST.

SmarTrading calculation results will be accessible in "Trading signals" section starting 8:00 A.M. EST the next trading day.
